Published in France, so this page carries what French law (LCEN, article 6 III) asks a site to state: who publishes it, who hosts it, and what happens to visitor data.

Privacy

This site is a static build with no cookies, no tag manager, no advertising, no form and no account. No script here measures your visit, and this section says exactly what is counted and by whom: a library whose entire subject is where your data lives cannot be vague about its own site.

• No measurement script is loaded, no cookie is set and no visitor identifier is written to your device. Two counts happen on the server instead, and neither needs your browser to cooperate. The first is the host's. Cloudflare records the requests it answers, the page, the country, the browser and the IP address at the moment of the request, as it does for every site it serves, and the publisher reads the totals it produces. None of that is stored on your device, and none of it can follow you from one visit to the next or on to another site.
• The site also counts its unique readers itself, on the server. For each page it serves, it hashes your IP address and your user agent together with a secret that changes every day, keeps 128 bits of the result, and stores that fingerprint with the hostname, the date and the country. Your IP address is never stored. It goes into a one-way calculation and is gone, and because the secret changes daily, yesterday's fingerprint and today's cannot be matched, so this count cannot follow you either. It answers one question, how many people read this site, and the same rule runs on every site this publisher operates so the numbers compare. Its legal basis is legitimate interest, Article 6.1.f GDPR.
• That is also why nothing here asks for your consent. Consent under article 5(3) of the ePrivacy directive attaches to reading or writing information on your device, and no page here does either, so there is nothing to accept and nothing to refuse. You can check the claim rather than take it: open your browser's network tab and reload, and the Content-Security-Policy served with every page names no outside destination at all.
• Your light/dark preference is kept in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is a display setting, it is never sent anywhere, and clearing site data removes it.
• The live demo runs the real library in your browser. Whatever you type into it goes into your browser's IndexedDB and stays there: there is no endpoint to send it to. It disappears when you clear site data.
• As with any site on the internet, the host processes technical connection data (an IP address, a timestamp, a user agent) in its own logs to deliver and secure the site. That processing belongs to the host, acting as a processor, and happens independently of the publisher, who reads the totals it produces and never the logs themselves.

The library is released under the MIT license: read it, fork it, ship it. Third-party names quoted in the comparison pages remain the property of their respective owners.

The documentation is maintained in good faith but comes with no guarantee of completeness or permanent availability. As stated in the MIT license, the software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind.
